Accomplishing Goals Against Boston College

While watching yesterday’s final home game for the 2022 season, we felt that Coach Freeman had an unwritten checklist somewhere in his mind with goals for his team to accomplish in front of the home crowd.

In no particular order, here they are:

· Showcase all 3 of his running backs in different ways.

· Allow Isaiah Foskey to become the all-time sack leader at ND

· Get Michael Mayer to over 2,000 reception yards so he can be the leading tight end in all categories.

· Give senior Matt Salerno his time to shine after playing his career in the shadows of great ND wide receivers.

· Highlight what’s to come (for those doubting Irish fans) with amazing performances by freshmen, Jaylen Sneed and the incredible, Ben Morrison.

· Display Irish dominance over ACC teams. (Who needs a conference?)

· Finally, shut out an opponent, and who better than “spoiler” Boston College.

We all know what Marcus needs to accomplish next, beat SC, knocking them out of any CFP consideration. It has to be on his unwritten list. Let’s see if he can check that one off this coming Saturday.
